The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the IBMBB was established in December 2016 with the intention to improve the quality of academic and other activities of IBMBB and to coordinate with Center for Quality Assurance (CQA), University of Colombo. Office space was allocated for IQAC in 2017 (Room 414; 3 rd floor). It is furnished with the required resources for efficient service.

The first meeting of the IQAC, IBMBB was held in March 2017.

The purpose of the IQAC is to create a culture that seeks continuous improvement of the quality of all academic and other activities in the institute in line with the Quality Assurance Council of the University Grants Commission through CQA, University of Colombo.
