Business Development Unit
Introduction
Business Development Unit (BDU) of the IBMBB was proposed by Prof. Kamani Tennekoon and Dr. Sameera Samarakoon and established following approval of Board of Management (BOM) in 2013. It was established with the intention of coordinating all aspects of development programs of the IBMBB, University of Colombo. Over the years, it has successfully tendered for and delivered various development programs and customized services for a range of organizations in both the private and public sectors. BDU has utilized expertise and the facilities at IBMBB to conduct various research innovations. Currently, BDU is focusing on development and commercialization of new-products resulted through IBMBB research innovations.
