Welcome to the Third International Conference on Frontiers in Molecular Life Sciences (ICFMLS 2022)

The International Conference on Frontiers in Molecular Life Sciences (ICF-MLS 2022) is organized by the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology (IBMBB), University of Colombo. The objective of this conference is to disseminate current knowledge on the latest developments in Molecular Life Sciences. The conference will be held on a virtual platform and will consist of symposia, keynote & plenary lectures and forum for research presentations. The conference will be held in April and authors are welcome to submit research findings.

Guidelines for preparation of Abstracts

i) Abstracts are called under following tracks/themes.

  • Plant metabolomics, genetic resources and Biotechnology
  • Population Genetics and Bioinformatics
  • Natural products for therapeutics
  • Immunopathogenesis and immunodiagnostics
  • Novel vaccination and drug development strategies
  • Molecular genetics and genomic medicine

ii) Title should be brief and explain the study reported. Capital letters should be used only for the first letter in the first word of the title and proper nouns.

iii) The authors names and addresses –

  • Capital letters should be used only for the initials and the first letters of the surnames of authors.
  • The address of the Institution in which the work was carried out should be included under the author’s name(s)
  • If the collaborators are from different Institutions, the addresses of the Institutions should be included in brief. In this case, the addresses of the co-authors should be indicated by a number in superscript after the author’s names and before the respective addresses as shown below.

iv) The text of the abstract (Unstructured) should not exceed 300 words

v) Standard abbreviations of SI units should be used.

vi) The abstract should be coherent and free of language errors.

vii) A maximum of five keywords should be provided.

viii) Acknowledgements should be restricted to the names of funding agencies. Authors are requested to follow the following formats
eg:

  • This work was supported by National Funding Agency (grant no)
  • This work was supported by the XX University and constitutes a part of MSc studies of author YY
  • This work was supported by the IBMBB & Medical Research Institute (06/2016) and constitutes a part of the PhD studies of author YZ

ix) Use font “Times new Roman” size 11 with 1.5 line spacing on A4.

Declaration by authors

  1. The declaration form must be signed and the .pdf file of the declaration form should be uploaded. (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icfmls2022)
  2. All correspondence will be addressed to the Corresponding Author. If the Corresponding Author is a student, it is mandatory that the declaration form should be signed by the supervising authors(s).
  3. In the event that the presenter indicated in the submission form is unable to present the paper, it is the responsibility of the Corresponding Author either to withdraw the paper in advance or arrange for one of the Co-authors to present the paper
