The Research and Higher Degrees Committee (RHDC) of the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IBMBB), University of Colombo, is a committee that is overseen by the administration as well as senior researchers of the institute. The RHDC functions to ensure quality and relevance of the research conducted as well as the research training and development activities. The committee regularly reviews and monitors progress of all research activities hosted within the institute, including those of research candidates working towards higher degrees such as MPhil and PhD degrees.<\/p>

The committee evaluates students and their eligibility to register as candidates for higher research degrees, appoints the panel of supervisors, monitors annual progress of the research, nominates examiners, appoint and review examiners reports, recommend the awarding of the higher research degrees of Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
