Students of the BSc in Molecular Biology and Bioentrepreneurship participated in an awareness session on Practical Standards in Bioentrepreneurship. The session was conducted by Professor Sun-Young Lim of Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU), South Korea, who serves as one of the international collaborators in delivering the Practical Strand in Bioentrepreneurship of the BSc programme. She shared valuable insights into global bioentrepreneurship practices and their importance in developing entrepreneurial, future-ready graduates. Professor Prasanna Galhena, Director of IBMBB, introduced the Practical Strand, highlighting its objectives, industry relevance, and hands-on learning opportunities. The session was enriched by the participation of Professor Sumadee De Silva, Professor Narmada Fernando and Professor Sisira Pathirana, reinforcing IBMBB’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration.
