About
I am an emerging researcher in the field of immunology, currently pursuing an MPhil/PhD at the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of Colombo. My research interests span immunology and infectious diseases like dengue focusing on how immune responses influence dengue outcomes and potential therapeutic interventions.
I have a strong academic background, having completed a BSc (Hons) in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Peradeniya. During my studies, I gained valuable experience in laboratory techniques, diagnostics and molecular biology. This knowledge has helped me develop important skills in conducting research, analyzing medical data and understanding disease mechanisms.
My main research interests are in clinical immunology and dengue. I am particularly interested in how the immune system reacts to dengue infection and how these responses can either help in recovery or worsen the disease. By studying these processes, I aim to gain a better understanding of disease progression and immune interactions in dengue, helping to improve disease management and contribute to developing more effective medical approaches.
Through my research, I hope to contribute to the field of immunology and public health. I am committed to learning, exploring new ideas, and sharing my knowledge to make a positive impact in society.
