Cancer- BRCA1, BRAC2, TP53 mutation detection

These tests are useful in the management of patients with family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer and for at risk individuals (ie:unaffected family members of such patients). Pathogenic mutation carriers of BRCA1or BRCA2 gene have a life time risk of 70-80% in developing breast cancer and approximately 10% risk of developing ovarian cancer. TP53 gene is mutated in most cancers and those who have rare inherited mutations have an increased tendency to develop cancer in several tissues including breast .

DNA Sequencing Service

Sanger DNA sequencing service is performed by our professionally trained staff on our state-of-the-art instrument (ABI 3500 Dx capillary instrument) using ABI Big Dye Terminator v3.1 chemistry
Service is available for sequencing plasmid DNA, plasmid clones, un-purified and purified PCR products etc.

Analytical Services

The parameters with regards to tea samples are carried out using internationally validated methods. In addition amino acid profling is carried out for any plant materials, human plasma and serum using a standard protocol. Analysis of following parameters are undertaken.

1. Analysis of Individual Catechin Content ISO-14502-2-HPLC Method
(Catechin, Epicatechin, Epigallocatechin gallte, Epigallocatechin, Epicatechin gallate)

2. Analysis Caffeine, Theophylline and Theobromine ISO-14502-2-HPLC Method

3. Free Amino Acid Profiles tea, any plant material, Food, Sera, body fluids etc. HPLC
(Online derivatization method with o-pthaladehye (OPA) for primary amino acids and 9-Fluorenylmethyl chloroformate (FMOC) for secondary amino acids are used)

4. Analysis of L-Theanine content of tea using the method described in above item 3
