Post of Temporary Scientific Assistant (Cell Biology) (On Contract)
The IBMBB will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the above post up to 28th November 2025.
01. Qualifications Required:
- A First class or Second class (Upper) division in a special Degree examination in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or Agriculture
OR
- A Second class (Lower) division in a Special Degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or Agriculture
OR
- Pass in a Special Degree examination in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or Agriculture
OR
- Pass in a General Degree examination with a recognized Postgraduate qualification in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or Agriculture
* Preference will be given to the candidates with PhD/ MSc in above subject areas and experience in area of Cell Biology, handling stem cells or cancer stem cells
Duties that the Temporary Scientific Assistant (Cell Biology) are expected to carry out include the following. He/ She to ensure that cell culture is maintained and grown properly and are free from contamination. This requires working after routing working hours, during the weekend and public holidays as well.
Salary and Other Conditions of Appointment:
U-AS 1 (I): Rs. 65,255 + Rs. 17,800 (COLA)
Salaries will be paid as per the UGC Commission Circular 02/2025 (i) dated 04.04.2025
The selected candidate will be a member of the Employee Provident Fund as well as of the Employee Trust Fund. He/ She will contribute 8% of his/her monthly salary to the Employee Provident Fund and at the same time Institute will contribute 12% to the Employee Provident Fund. The Institute will make a contribution equivalent to 3% of his/her monthly salary to the Employee Trust Fund.

Age – Not more than 45 years
Appointment is for a period of one year with the possibility of extending for a further period of one year depending on satisfactory progress.
